Now that I have successfully installed a wireless dongle home network ( ad hoc ) , will the host computer take over internet security on the client computer or should I leave Norton on both . Ideally , I would like to delete it on the client as it only has a 6gb hard drive . Is it safe to proceed with this ?
Any advice much appreciated ........ jack
Antivirus on Client computer?microsoft
The antivirus software does not scan data packets between bridged network adapters on the ''host'', so you need antivirus on both computers. Try AVG. It's slightly more lightweight than norton and it's FREE.

NOD32 is the best for old PC, but it's not free.
