I have Yahoo! Toolbar, and I know that Norton, and Syemtec slow down your computer, with the Yahoo security from Norton has not been making my computer slow, but I want to make sure it does not happen in the future! Has anyone had this problem???

In add/remove of the control panel you should be able to remove it if it is there.

When you add the Norton Security button to the Yahoo toolbar, you are getting the Norton Spyware Scanner (NSS) which is a standalone scanner. You will see a separate entry for NSS in add or remove programs. You can even run NSS without going through the toolbar. Performance of your system is only impacted when you launch NSS and do a scan. A quick scan takes only a few minutes and doesn't impact your system too much. A full scan could take a long time and performance will be sluggish. However, when you are not doing a scan, resources aren't being used. If you should install the full blown Norton product (which costs money), then performance can be significantly degraded if you don't have lots of memory (RAM) on your computer, usually you should have at least 3/4 of a Gig. IMHO, I would seriously consider other offerings.
